Initital Setup of a HootBoard Device

Setting up a HootBoard device is a quick and easy process that can be done in just a few minutes. 

Device Installation
  1. Unpackage your HootBoard device
  2. Connect the HootBoard device to a 1920 X 1080 screen or better via an the HDMI cable.
  3. Plugin an Ethernet cable to your device.  NOTE: If connecting the device to the web via WiFi, this will be setup in the Software Setup section below.
  4. Ensure the power is turned on for your screen
  5. Plug in and power on the HootBoard device.
Software Setup via Touch Screen / Keyboard Mouse - HootBoard can be setup locally on the same screen the device is connected to. For interactive screens, setup can be done using the touch screen. For the HootBoard Reflect, you can plug in a Keyboard/Mouse (not provided) to setup or setup via an Access Point.

  1. Once HootBoard boots up, click Let's Begin.
  2. Internet Setup - If using ethernet this step will be skipped since you already have access to the internet. If using WiFi, you will need to select your network and enter the credentials.
  3. Screen Id Setup - You will first have to create a Screen Id on HootBoard.com. Here's a video walkthrough as well.  Once you have a Screen Id, you can enter it here. NOTE: A screen Id can only be active on one screen at a time.

Software Setup via Device Access Point
  1. Login to the Device Access Point dashboard following these instructions.
  2. Once logged in, you will be prompted to compete the setup process
  3. Internet Setup - Select your WiFi network and enter the credentials.
  4. Screen Id Setup - You will first have to create a Screen Id on HootBoard.com.  Once you have a Screen Id, you can enter it here. NOTE: A screen Id can only be active on one screen at a time.
